YANA'S POV
Cole’s last week in the house feels like a countdown neither of us wants to acknowledge.
His new apartment is ready. The lease starts Monday. Ryan talks about helping him move the big stuff on Sunday afternoon like it’s just another favor between best friends. I sit at the kitchen table and nod in the right places while Cole’s knee presses against mine under the table, deliberate and claiming. Every time Ryan looks away, Cole’s eyes meet mine and I feel it between my legs—hot, immediate, filthy. Six weeks of being his secret has rewired me. I get wet from a look now.
