I blocked him the next morning.
It was the cleanest option. No late-night texts. No chance to replay the way he had made me beg until my voice broke. No more breakfast notes that made something dangerous try to smile. I told myself it was self-preservation. The rule existed for a reason. Men who looked at you like they already owned the filthy parts were the ones who eventually wanted more. I didn’t do more. I had never done more. I took what I wanted, came as hard as I wanted, and left when I was done.
