My feet froze as I heard my conversation with Samantha in the room. Ben's hand stiffened. He slowly released himself from my grip and stepped aside.
He is staring dumbstruck at me and right at this moment, I realized that I have lost.
Ben will never forgive me.
When he agreed to go with me before, I could tell that he was only giving me the benefit of doubt but now, it's gone.
He won't believe anything I say.
"I shouldn't believe her?" Ben pointed towards Samantha. "And this?" He raised the paper and locked our gazes. "Then what about that one?"

"Are you just going to deny that the voice doesn't belong to you now?"
