Seeing Carlos' state and how much weight he has lost in the past few weeks made me realize how selfish I had been.
When I should be supporting my husband in his pain, I was busy thinking about mine. And even though I was being such an i***t, Carlos never left my side.
He was there with me all the way, tolerating my tantrums without complaining. He even stopped me from committing yet another blunder when I wanted to walk away.
I would have deprived my sons of their father's love once again. I'm glad that Carlos was the wiser person among us and he managed to avery that.
