I woke up to find Katherina lying face flat beside me. She had nothing on and the blanket was the only thing covering her.
It covered up to her waist, giving me a good view of her back. I wanted to brush my hand on her back to feel smooth skin against mine. However, I knew that would disturb her, so I refrained.
Propping my chin with my hand, I took a proper look at her. This was the life I had before. This is the life I want to live from the rest of my life.
A life where I will wake up to find Katherina lying naked beside me. A life where I will be the first person she sees before starting her day and likewise. A life where we'll hold each other's hand and take an evening walk by the beach.
All this was my dream, the life I wanted.
