I can't believe that I have Carl right here beside me. His eyes were fixated on the theatre door. After donating the needed amount of blood which is quite a lot, he was asked to rest, but he has stubbornly refused to go. He wanted to stay here and wait.
He had Jayden on his lap the entire time and his eyes would often look from Jayden to the theatre light and back.
It all feels surreal.
