I lay in bed pretending to be asleep as I watched Carlos get dressed and prepared to go to work.
He was so much in a hurry and he almost forgot to put on a tie. I wonder why he's so flustered.
He keeps looking in my direction as if to confirm if I was asleep. However, that was a trick I've learnt since I was a child.
I would always pretend to be asleep to avoid taking a bath sometimes and right now that trick has come in handy.
As soon as he was done dressing up, he came towards me and I could feel the bed sink on the right side.
He kissed my head and took a strand of hair off my face.
"I'll be right back, okay? Make sure you take care of yourself." He whispered.
Does he know that I'm awake? Or is he suspecting me?
Whatever!
It's not like I care if he knows that I'm awake
