I looked from Samantha to Carl as they discussed. Though I couldn't fathom what they were talking about even though some of the words they spoke sounded familiar. I had no interest, so I paid no attention to them.
However, their conversation still traveled to my hearing.
Samantha probably did that on purpose so I could hear.
She was demanding a gift. Carlos promised to compensate her for something
I didn't want to believe what I heard them say. Besides, it sounded funny to me.
But I still find it hard to believe.
"What gift could Carlos possibly owe Samantha? It was so important that she couldn't wait to get it back at the office and she decided to come to get it at home.
I wonder why Carl is being all secretive about it.
Why did he have to take Samantha somewhere else
