Katherina didn't utter a word. She let herself get carried away in his arms. Her hands instinctively wrapped around his neck.
He looked down to see that Katherina had pursed her lips and she had shut her eyes. He smiled seeing her safe and sound.
His heart couldn't take it if he didn't see her. She was everything to him.

Carlos carried her straight to the bedroom. He applied some balm to her hands and legs. He put a sweater on for her and help her sit.
"Have you had dinner?" He asked in a sweet, soft tone.
His voice sounded different from what it was a few days back. Katherina didn't speak at first but when he asked again, she shook her head and said, "I'm not hungry."
