Chapter 12
After meeting with others and getting the reassurance he needed, Poseidon went back to his townhouse, where Candy was already asleep. He felt guilty for staying out so late, but loved seeing her peacefully resting. Knowing she would hate it, he still couldn’t resist taking a quick photo. He leaned in to kiss her softly on the head, then, wearing only his boxers, he snuck under the covers. As soon as Candy felt the bed dip, she turned over and cuddled closer to him. Poseidon smiled, pulled her in, and finally relaxed into sleep.
The next morning, they awoke to the sound of the alarm clock and got ready to head out for morning training. They were both eager to see if Arden would be able to keep up a little better today.
