Chapter 59 “What are you talking about?” Raelynn stammered, her lips quivering as her carefully built composure crumbled. “I know you’ve been poisoning Dexter. His symptoms, the bizarre fluctuations that change every other day—and now suddenly he’s up and about, feeling better than ever?” Alonzo hissed, leaning in close as he whispered the dark truth Raelynn thought she’d buried. She swallowed hard, her throat tight as total panic set in. The jig was up. “The only reason I haven’t turned you in yet is that I don’t have hard proof—though your face just gave me all the confirmation I need,” Alonzo continued, a cruel twist to his lips. “And honestly? I can’t stand the man either. I don’t give a damn what you do to him. Good riddance, as far as I’m concerned. But heed my warning, Raelynn:
