As much as I didn't want to, I had to leave. There was work that needed to be done, and I had to get a message out to Matthew to see if he would bite on and show up. So, with a lot of reluctance and hesitation, I said goodbye to them both. Thane patted my back ensuring me that they would be safe with him. I know they will, but it didn't make it any easier to leave them.
"How do you want to send the message? Or did you want to call him directly?" Tony asked when we stepped into my office.
