Aria’s POV
Maybe I should have seen this coming, with how much concern was flooding Jackson’s face, but his words still took me by surprise. So much so that I was stunned for a minute. Unfortunately, in that minute when I was gaping at him, Jackson confused my silence for agreement.
“You have to report him,” Jackson said. “Just because he’s the boss, that doesn’t give him permission to do whatever he wants.”
“That’s not what’s happening,” I told him. “I swear everything between Liam and me is above board.”
“Not with the way he’s looking at you, Aria,” Jackson says.
“Jackson, please,” I said. “I appreciate your concern, I mean it, but things aren’t happening like you think. I swear.”
“Aria…”
“I’m serious, Jackson. Let this go.”
