**IRIS’S POV**
The knock comes at 8 AM on a Saturday, which is already suspicious.
I’m home alone for the weekend, and our parents never mentioned they were coming back anytime soon.
When I open my door and find my annoying as hell stepbrother, Brian leaning against the frame with that insufferable smirk, I know my entire day is ruined.
When did he even get back? He was supposed to be away for the weekend.
"What do you want?" I keep the door half closed, blocking my body with it. Three years of hating this man has taught me to maintain barriers.
"Good morning to you too, Raven." He looks me up and down, taking in my oversized t-shirt and bare legs.
"Rough night?"
