The sun is high when the attack comes the following day in the afternoon.
I'm checking the eastern border defenses when the mind link opens. It's Jason, one of the three former Silverpeak scouts I gave asylum to.
'Alpha! Silverpeak attacking! But they're not stopping at the border! They're pushing through! Heading straight for the pack house!'
I'm already running. 'All fighters! Eastern border! Silverpeak is pushing to the pack house! Stop them!'
I shift to Thunder and race toward the fighting. Rowan, Thorne, and Cassian are already there. All three fighting.
When I arrive, I see what Jason meant. Silverpeak isn't trying to break our border line. They're charging straight through. Ignoring our defenders. Pushing past them. Heading inland toward the pack house.
