We run through the forest for another two hours before reaching Silvermist Pack territory. My muscles burn from the constant movement but I push through it. We don't have time to rest.
Alpha Leah runs this pack. She's younger than most Alphas, only thirty five, but she's built a strong reputation. Her pack is entirely female leadership. Beta, Gamma, and Delta are all women. Some packs question it, but Silvermist has survived challenges that destroyed other territories.
Their border guards stop us immediately. Two women in wolf form block our path, growling warnings.
We shift back to human and dress quickly.
"Alpha Kael of Moonridge Pack," I call out. "Here to speak with Alpha Leah. She's expecting us."
The guards shift to human form. One of them speaks. "Follow us. Stay close.
