Briggs POV I pulled into the parking lot outside Dara’s office building and killed the engine. The place looked exactly like what it was—a sleek, modern therapist’s suite with glass doors and those calming beige walls that were supposed to make you forget you were spilling your guts to a stranger. I hadn’t planned on coming here today, but after the conversation with Lumi about Dara showing up at Clover’s spa and claiming some kind of connection, the whole thing sat wrong in my gut.
