Briggs’ POV Brianna comes in a few minutes later and engages her in a talk. She laughs too easily, but it doesn’t match her mood earlier. But she laughs anyway, soft, unaware. Like her body hasn’t caught up with what her mind is trying to ignore. I lean against the far wall, watching. Not obvious, or close enough to pull her attention.
