Lumi’s POV
The music is loud, bodies are moving, lights are shifting. But somehow, none of that touches me.
It’s just him, standing there, waiting. He doesn’t move, that’s the first thing that annoys me. He doesn’t meet me halfway, step forward or even pretend to close the distance.
He just watches me come to him, like he expected it. That alone pushes something in me. I’m so close to him now, close enough to feel the heat of his body. Not touching, but close enough that one wrong move would change that.
For a second, nothing. Just silence.
Then, his voice, low and calm. “You walked over.”
I tilt my head slightly, folding my arms.
“You didn’t,” I shot back. A small pause. Then I added, just to push him:
“Was thinking maybe you’re scared to make a move on big mama.”
