We stayed at the cabin for six days. Well, Mom and I did. Dad went home the night he came so he could be with Cora.
Mom and I haven’t talked much since the first day. She stayed with me. She cooked. She asked a few times if there was anything I needed to talk through, but she mostly left me alone to work through everything in my mind.
