I’ve avoided Dad today. After we ate, I decided I should lead the training myself. No one questioned me, not even him. He stood off to the side between Pops and Michael and watched. Some of these boys are strong, but not all. It will take a while for the wolfsbane to get out of their systems, though, so we can see what we really have going on out here.
I ran them through what they should reasonably be able to handle at this time. Most of them could not complete what was asked of them. It’s concerning, but I killed Clive without confirming which kids were given the wolfsbane. Sure, the cook is still here, but I think I’ve sufficiently terrified him, and he didn’t seem to know much.
