“Keeping guard,” I tell her. “Laylah decided to show Andrew some memories of Ethan.”

I give her a weaker smile. There’s no keeping an open mind. If anything, Cora being mated to Ethan is probably some kind of cosmic punishment for Andrew lying about Adrian’s death. I don’t know if that’s even possible, though, because Molly was destined to be my mate long before our father’s war.
