My eyes flutter open. A feeling of unease washes over me. Where is Gerald? I notice for the first time, the sun is high in the sky. Why the hell am I still in bed? Panic bubbles up inside me as I quickly dress. I reach out to Gerald through our bond but it feels empty. I rush out of our room, moving through the coven. Members attempt to stop me but I don't entertain them. When I finally reach Gerald's office, my heart is pounding against my ribs.
