As soon as the enchantment is complete, I call Vanessa. She answers on the second ring. "Uncle, is everything alright?" I smile despite the constant ache that has been in my chest since I returned to the coven. "It will be sweetheart. I won't be available for a few days. When I return I'd like to meet and talk again if that's alright."
"Uncle Gerald, you are freaking me out a bit. Where are you going? Will you be safe," she asks. "I need to go home and speak with my cousin." "Cousin, I assumed you had no family besides us.
