"My father is a vampire if you haven't figured it out by now. Thorn and I are hyrbrids. Our father is more doctor than king, but he is struggling after all you just said. He would kill for my brother or I, so hearing your mate wanted to kill his pup isn't sitting well with him," Derek whispers. "It isn't sitting well with any of us," Thorn says from behind me. The anger in his tone has a shiver rushing down my spine.
When I look back toward Timothy and Georgia, I'm sure a blush has creeped up my cheeks. Timothy has pulled her onto his lap and is nuzzling her neck. "Maybe we should give your parents some privacy," I say, getting to my feet. "I agree. I've been scarred enough in my life by their antics," Derek says as he leads me toward the office door with Anna hot on our heels.
