My heart pounds as Vanessa, Arden, Thorn, and I sit in Gerald's office waiting for the King and Queen of Witches and Warlocks to arrive. The plan originally was for Gerald to teleport Vanessa and me to the castle, but that was vetoed quickly by our mates despite his assurances he would keep us safe. Besides, none of us were sure if teleporting would affect our pup. Especially since I have no powers. I had no intention of taking chances.
