I gave them both a tight smile and sat down on the bed to put the shoes on. “I am sorry to dampen the excitement of the night. I wanted to thank you both for all the help, all these clothes you gave me, and your friendship most of all. I have never looked so nice in my life and you two have made that possible. I cannot thank you enough for making this date tonight as special as it is.
