I stood and walked closer to the door. Caius opened the message while Zeron waited outside. There wasn't much written on the page, but I could see the woman's agreement beneath our request. The final lines mentioned the item that had belonged to her mother.
"What does she have?" I asked. If she'd included that information, Caius would have already found it. "Did she say?" I wanted to know before she arrived.
"No." Caius handed the message to me. "She only says her mother left something for her before she died." He remained beside me while I read it.
