I watched Elara gather the records Isla had asked for. Corvin Rell's name remained on the page in front of us. We had finally found the wolf directly connected to Isla's disappearance. Now I wanted to know who had helped him.
"How much do you know about Corvin's life before Silvermere?"
Elara returned to the table with another book. She opened it near the middle and searched through several pages. Corvin had arrived in Silvermere as a young man. Nothing in his history had given the previous Keeper a reason to distrust him.
"Where did he come from?"
"A pack called Redmont."
I knew the name. Redmont had disappeared more than two hundred years ago after its remaining wolves joined other packs. There would be little left to search now. Still, I would have Pryor check every record
