Markus glanced at his mate, her confidence unwavering, and then back to the hallway where Kaius was gesturing animatedly, and Henry was nodding with a faint smile. “You’re right,” he admitted. “But that doesn’t mean I won’t keep a close eye on them. I can see Kaius getting Henry in trouble with his usual pranks.” Kaia chuckled. “I wouldn’t expect anything less.” As they turned to leave, Markus cast one last glance at the two young men, a quiet hope settling in his chest.
