“What on earth happened?” Asher snapped, his voice low and sharp. “I could feel her distress through the bond, her desperation, her anguish. And when she arrived, I saw that she’d been crying. What the hell is going on?”
Luna Lora stepped forward, her expression calm but serious. “I raised my voice to her and used my Luna voice,” she admitted. “She was out of control, Asher. The guards had to stop her from running into the crowd, and she wouldn’t listen to reason. I had to do something to get through to her.”
Asher’s eyes flashed with anger. “Mom! She’s pregnant! You know how fragile she’s been, how could you?”
