Raya nodded stiffly, avoiding his gaze, her hands clenched into fists at her sides as she quickly moved to gather her things. They didn’t speak about it. Didn’t acknowledge it. But they both knew. Whatever had just happened between them had changed everything. -- The morning air was crisp, still thick with the remnants of the storm that had passed. The ground was damp, the scent of rain clinging to the trees, to the earth beneath their feet, and to them.
