I didn't even look at Roger when the door opened and he walked in. He didn't have Therese with him, and I honestly have no idea how he got her to leave. Maybe he had to force her out. I couldn't care less about that woman. She’s lucky I’m pregnant, or I might have given her a lot more than just emotional pain. Roger stood by the side of the bed. I knew he was watching me, but I didn't bother looking back. I was still annoyed with him. He cleared his throat to get my attention, thinking that old trick would actually work. When he realized I wasn't budging, he climbed onto the bed and sat beside me. I still ignored him, so he leaned down and started kissing my belly. He was kissing our baby. It’s the whole reason we’re even together right now and my literal hall pass to get close to him.
