I woke up to my phone going crazy. Alerts kept popping up one after another. My hands shook as I opened the first link.
The video was out.
Not the full thing, but clear clips. Julian on top of Lena, holding her down while she cried and said no. His three friends were laughing and taking turns. One of them punched her when she tried to fight back. The sound of her screams filled my room. Then the part where they dragged her body out like trash.
It was everywhere now. Twitter, t****k, every news site. People were sharing it with captions like “This is the real Julian Hargrove.”
The police put out a new statement. They said the old report was wrong. They were reopening the case for r**e, assault, and murder. Detectives wanted to talk to Julian right away.
But it got worse.
