The night goes by faster than I would like. After the garden we return to the interior of the house. The atmosphere is calm, almost silent. There's something different in the air... something that wasn't here before.
Clara takes her coat from the back of the chair, then her purse. I watch her as she puts it on.
And I know what's coming... The time to leave.
"Can I order a taxi?" she says softly.
I look up immediately.
"Taxi?"
"Okay... You don't have to take me home."
She is ahead of herself.
I shake my head before she is done.
"No, no... I want to take you."
She smiles slightly, but denies again.
"No, that's fine. I can do it."
She pauses slightly.
"I won't be calm if you go alone. What's more... Let one of the drivers do it."
I watch her for a second.
"Mr. Eduardo?"
