The rain begins before I can close the curtains completely, the drops hit the windows of my apartment with constant insistence, as if the night had decided to unload all its weight on the city. The thunder comes next, deep, shaking the air with a vibration that is felt even on the ground.
I've always loved rainy nights, but this one... feels different.
