Zeph's POV I'm restless, but I let her join the game since it's meant for ladies. I wonder why these people won't just shut the f**k up instead of trying to bully her for her hair color. But Kestrel is unfazed, standing there with her chin up and her shoulders back, looking at the game setup with determination. It's a game of speed as anyone who can throw the ball fastest into the tiny net in one minute goes home with a unicorn bear. The net is small, maybe the size of a basketball hoop, and it's positioned about fifteen feet away. It requires accuracy and speed, and I can already see Kestrel analyzing the distance and angles. I see Kestrel smirk, and why does that make me shiver? There's something about that expression that reminds me she's more than just the sweet girl who bakes pies.
