Kestrel's POV When the panic sets in, it hits me like a tidal wave. I don't like the darkness. I don't know if it's the same for other people, but anything dark is something I've always hated. Ever since I was a kid, the darkness has felt like it's alive, like it's watching me, waiting to swallow me whole. And now I'm trapped in it, alone in this computer lab with no way out. I reach for my cell phone again, desperately pressing buttons even though I know it's dead. Nobody is answering. Nobody even knows I'm here. Tyler and Declan probably think I went back to Zeph's apartment and Zeph is still dealing with pack business, too far away to help me even if he knew I was in danger.
