I feel elated watching them score two goals just in the space of minutes, all because Kestrel is out there stopping anyone who tries to block my team from moving forward.
She's a force of nature on that ice, wild and unpredictable and absolutely beautiful. I can see why Diego is so obsessed with her. She has this energy, this power that draws everyone's attention whether she wants it or not.
But then I frown the moment I see Diego skating toward her with purpose. He's not going for the puck. He's going straight for my mate.
I try to listen to their conversation through my enhanced hearing, but the bastard must have some kind of spell blocking me from hearing what they're saying. I can see his mouth moving, see him gesturing, but I can't make out the words.
