She was up on the balcony of her suite with Zara the night before the full moon, sitting drinking coffee with her. Maddie had once again disappeared off into the woods. She wouldn’t tell anyone what it was about, but both she and Zara could see Palmer from up there, so it wasn’t her going off to be with him, though Maddie did often sit and talk to him in the evenings now, was allowing herself to grow that bond of friendship between them, which would likely turn into a mate bond.
There had been a pack barbeque this evening and though both she and Zara had been down there for it, she’d retried to her room when putting Ocean to bed. Her little girl was all tuckered out from running around with the other kids, including Lindal’s children and Sloan and Austin's triplets.
