The whole time we ate, Dylan kept looking at me strangely. I didn’t know why he was acting like that, but it made me a little uncomfortable. Mike looked over at me once and winked. I smiled at him, and he smiled back.
My mom told us that we had to leave if we wanted to make it to school on time. So, I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door with Dylan and my mom.
When we got to school, Dylan looked at me strangely again. He said, “Seriously, what’s going on with you today?”
I shrugged and said, “I really don’t know. But I need to go talk to Ms. Johnson before class starts.”
