It’s been two months since we rescued the kids, since Sasha died and Austin took off. I did get some resistance from his father and family when they were told that I was in charge now. But I put them in their place really quickly.
I guess they forgot that I had just lost my mate as well. And I wasn’t going to let them use that to push me around.
I actually used my anger at the whole situation to force myself into the acting Alpha role until Austin came back.
I knew that he was going to come back, I just didn’t know when. I thought it would have been before now. But he was more torn up about Sasha’s death than anyone. So he took off and he hasn’t made any contact since.
Emma has been hanging around a lot since that day. She believed that it was her fault that Sasha died
