The fortress descended into chaos before the ceremony had even officially ended. Every corridor buzzed with conversation, every courtyard echoed with speculation and every noble in Dragonspire seemed determined to share an opinion regarding what had happened. The royal dragon had bowed. Not merely acknowledged me. Not tolerated me. Bowed. The significance of that fact became painfully obvious as I walked beside Draven through the fortress later that afternoon. Servants stared and soldiers whispered.
