"Why am I riding home with you again?" Clover asked as she stared at my passenger seat from outside the car. "Wait, why did you all drive separately anyway?"
"We each got a life, Button," I said, trying to be patient with her.
"I didn't know any of you have lives," she sassed back.
I tapped my finger on the steering wheel, trying to keep my frustration in check. It's been over ten minutes of this. Ever since the others told her that I was taking her home. I didn't think she'd be this difficult. Otherwise, I would have let Rune take her.
"Just get in the damn car so we can go home," I said, keeping most of the anger out of my tone. "I'm tired from practice. Everyone else left. Just get in."
