Walking up to the Sigma Alpha Tau frat house was a challenge already. Not because anyone was blocking our way. But because I was getting more and more nervous.
I've always been a shy person. As a kid, I didn't have a lot of friends. I liked being home with Dad. I hung out with our neighbor more than anyone else, and she was 65 at the time. Dad always said I'd grow out of if and find my people, but then he got sick and died, and I got shipped off to Clara and Declan.
Meeting Harper and Quinn was the best thing that ever happened to me. They were my first real friends. Even if I only ever got to see them at school.
