Truce's P.O.V

~ A couple of days later ~

"That was a great practice, boys!" Coach Grant Sullivan said as we all piled into the locker room. "Especially you rookies! Fantastic, truly! Glad I picked you four before someone else could snatch you up!"
"Thanks Coach!" Kyren replied with his usual bright smile.
"Grant, we need to talk in the office before the meeting with the owner," Mason Kane, the assistant coach, said.
"Great job today, all of you!" Sullivan shouted as he started to walk off with Mason. "Rest up! Eat well! First game is in a few weeks!"
"Can't believe he's got us scheduled for all these little scrimmages before the season," Kyren grumbled as we started to strip out of our gear.
"I think it'll be fun," I said.
"Fun my a.ss," he replied. "Fun would be going out and getting hammered with a few hot ladies after practice."
I rolled my eyes at him.
"A chick is the last thing Truce wants right now," Rune said. "Especially with what happened the other night."
"Oh, you mean when he kicked that chick out after finding out she was spying on him for his dad?" Kyren laughed. "She was hot as f***k though. You still got her number?"
I rolled my eyes again and refused to answer. I looked at Lark, who usually chimes in with Kyren at these points. He was staring down at his phone with the same look he's had for weeks now. That anger mixed with sadness.
"Everything okay dude?" I asked him.
"Sure," he muttered before tossing his phone in the locker and stripping off his shirt.
Yeah, that's not like Lark at all.
Lark is the all-American boy in our little squad. He's always gotten the best grades, always loved by all the teachers, always trying to make sure we follow the rules, which has landed him in trouble most of his life. He even looks the part of a perfect American all-star. Blonde hair, green eyes, a few freckles across his face. It helps that he's actually a kind person too. Usually.
These days, he's not been himself at all.
"He's still sulking about his little online girlfriend," Kyren mumbled.
"She broke up with him," Rune said flatly.
"So what?" Kyren replied. "They never even met. They don't even know each other's names."
"God forbid I wanted to talk to someone who didn't know me," Lark grumbled.
All of us are from rich families. Sometimes I wonder if that's why we got recruited so easily. Then I remember how much work we put in and the skills we each have. This was purely our hard work, not our names. I refuse to believe otherwise.
"I get it," I told him, and it was the truth.
"I don't," Kyren mumbled.
"Me neither," Rune grunted.
"I thought we had an agreement anyway," Kyren said, his voice lowering. "We talked about this months ago."
"We haven't found the right girl yet," I said, giving him a hard look. "And you're the biggest wh.ore out of all of us."
"True," Rune agreed. "We all said that until we found the perfect woman, we could all do what we wanted."
"Maybe my charm was the perfect woman," Lark mumbled.
"She dumped you," Kyren deadpanned.
"I don't think she really wanted to though," he replied. "Something just feels off about it all."
"Well, until you actually meet her, there's not really a way of knowing," I said.
"Right," he mumbled sadly.
"Not sure why you even care so much, Lark," Rune said. "Chicks are not worth the hassle."
"Says the guy who agreed to find the perfect girl for us," Kyren scoffed.
"I only agreed because it'll never happen," Rune replied. "I mean, come on. We're gonna find one woman who wants to be shared by the four of us? All the time? One that isn't a total snake or a bi.tch like every other woman we've ever met? You guys are trying to find something that doesn't exist. So yeah, I agreed. I'm not that worried about it."
Rune is the most stubborn out of all of us. I understand it though. His mother and sister are great examples of why he doesn't trust women. The man would rather hit the gym than come to the club with us. He hooks up here and there, but always keeps his escapades on the down-low.
Kyren, on the other hand...
"I doubt we'll find a girl like that either, but we can dream, right?" he said with a bright smile. "Plus, the search is the best part. I've tested all kinds of ladies out so far."
Kyren is the biggest wh.ore out of all of us. The man just can't help himself. He'll f***k anything with legs and t**s. I even caught him hooking up with a super hot transgender chick once. He was taking her from behind when I walked in on them. Her fake t**s were flopping all over the place and so was her d***k.
When we were teenagers, it really wasn't a big deal. Through college, it started to become a problem. Now, it's a major problem. So major that it's about to affect us all.
Fu.ck, I still need to tell them about Clover.
"You really need to be more discreet, dude," Rune told him.
"Or just stop sleeping around so much," Lark chimed in. "Before you catch something. Then we'll have to work you out of our little plans. You'd hate that, wouldn't you, Kyren?"
Kyren stuck his tongue out at Lark like a child and rolled his eyes.
"I don't see why I should have to," he muttered. "I'm a grown a.ss man. And single."
"You know it's not that simple with us," Rune grumbled.
"No kidding," I said. "And you're gonna have to change whether you like it or not."
"Yeah? Says who?"
"Says me," I stated, giving him a hard look.
"Why's it now a problem?" He asked me. "You never cared before. Or... did you find someone you think will go for us?"
"No, it's not that," I said.
Kyren's shoulders dropped. I almost laughed.
Honestly, none of us really wanted a relationship. Well, maybe Lark, but not the rest of us. Rune has his own demons. Kyren just likes the single life. And I have sh.it with my family too.
However, over the last two years, we've all discovered something. We like sharing. Together. I like watching and directing the scene. Kyren and Lark love being told what to do. Rune just likes sharing, a lot. And none of us were willing to admit it for a while.
There aren't many girls who will take all four of us at the same time. The ones that have are either after our money or the clout of being with us. They've all been missing something. And with the pressure from my dad, Kyren's playboy ways getting put on the front page of every magazine, Rune's growing anger towards women, and Lark's clear longing for something real... Well, I decided it was time we settled down.
That being said, we all agreed on rules and what kind of woman we wanted. I knew it would take time to find her, if we ever did. We all acted like it was no big deal, like we didn't care either way, but we did. Especially Kyren. He'll never admit it out loud, but I think the thought of having someone who truly loves him makes him excited.
It just sucks that in our world love rarely exists.
"Then what is it?" Kyren asked.
"Because of you, we're all about to have a new house guest," I said, and all three heads snapped in my direction.
"The f***k you mean?" Rune asked.
"My dad is sending my baby stepsister to live with us," I told them, looking at Kyren. "You know, the one your family keeps trying to marry you off to. Because you can't keep your d***k in your pants, or at least be quiet about it."
"They're sending her to live with us?" Kyren asked, horrified. "Why??"
"Dad says it's to push you and her together," I said. "Apparently, she doesn't want you either. He and your parents hope it'll do something, I guess. Maybe at the very least it'll get you to chill the f***k out."
"How the hell are our lives supposed to work now?" Lark asked.
"We don't change," I replied with a shrug. "Clover is probably trying to push her way into Kyren's life. If they married, she'd be set for life. She wouldn't have to lift a finger. She's probably just like her leech of a mother. Just don't fall for any tricks she might play."
"Maybe I'll f***k her and leave her high and dry," Kyren grumbled. "That should teach her."
"Should we prank her or something?" Lark asked. "Ya know, get her to leave on her own."
"Nah, just keep doing what we always do," I said. "Ignore her. She'll be at school half the day anyway. Not like we're home that much either."
"I am," Lark grumbled.
"Me too," Rune added in the same tone.
"Look, I doubt Clover will last long," I told them. "Once she sees she's not gonna trap Kyren, or any of us, she'll give up and move on to the next rich boy she finds."
"You sure about that?" Rune asked. "You barely even know her."
"I don't need to know her," I said. "She sticks to my dad and Clara like glue. Clara's probably taught her the ropes of being a gold-digger."
"If you say so," he mumbled.
I really didn't want Clover living with us. I'd argued with Dad about it for months. He insisted that it would be good for all of us. Kyren could use her as a cover, she could help out around the penthouse, and we could build the sibling bond we've never had. All bullsh.it, but that's all that ever comes out of dad's mouth.
I can't help but wonder if there's something more to this though. Dad probably asked her to spy on me while she stays with us. I wouldn't be surprised after all the other wh.ores he's sent to me. He truly thinks I'm dumber than he is. Hilarious. And his little games with my stepsister aren't going to work either.
Clover can come. She can stay. She can spy. But she'll never find anything, she'll never get what she wants for any of us.
And for her sake, I hope she's tough.
