She went to the bathroom and came immediately back with one of her makeup mirrors and sat next to Troy.
She held the mirror between them pointed at their kids, and looked in it.
"I still don't see them, Troy. Do you, um, see anybody else in the mirror?"
Troy scooted forward and looked in the mirror.
"Bunny?" he whispered. He looked at their kids, then back in the mirror.
"Bunny is here. I can only see her in the mirror. How did you know?"
"Troy, I saw Bunny, she was with me...right before I called you that day I left David."
She hadn't said that name since she told Troy to never say it, and it felt weird in her mouth, almost as weird as saying Bunny was with her. She remembered exactly what Bunny meant when she said she was with Lisa.
