Abby was moving before she realized it, racing down the stairs. Lucas was behind her, yelling at her to stop. She busted into the cells in time to see the guard kicking Joe as he curled into a tight ball on the ground. She shoved the guard away and he rounded quickly. She swung her fist, connecting with his jaw. He staggered away as pain radiated up her arm. She ignored it, advancing on the man. “Abby, stop!” Lucas grabbed her arm, pulling her back.
