“Move. Move. Move.” Hands clamp onto my vest and haul me backward as the ceiling groans overhead. Concrete dust pours down in thick sheets, stinging my eyes, coating my tongue with grit. “Beam coming down!” Keller shouts. A steel support crashes into the space I occupied seconds earlier. The impact shudders through the floor, through my bones. Too close. “I’m fine,” I snap, wrenching free. “He went that way.” “Negative,” Keller says. “We pull back.
