**DAMIEN POV** I lift my fist. The team halts instantly. Four shadows freeze behind me, weapons raised, eyes sharp. The air inside the complex tastes wrong. Rust. Mold. Old water trapped where it should not be. The place breathes decay, each exhale thick and damp, like it resents being disturbed. “Quiet,” I murmur. We move again, slow and deliberate. Boots glide over concrete instead of striking it. Every step is calculated, controlled, meant to keep the structure calm. Old buildings remember violence.
